There is a 14-seater electric boat powered by photovoltaic panels moored at the small pier on the lake. This extremely eco-friendly vessel takes visitors on guided tours which can be booked with the staff at the Visitors’ Centre. The tours last about 50 minutes and offer the chance to catch a glimpse of those birds that would be hard to see from land, along with some beautiful views of the surrounding hills from an unusual perspective: the centre of the lake.
All this in complete safety and without disturbing the animals that have made Lake Montepulciano their home. There are two tours every Sunday afternoon. Times may vary depending on season and weather conditions.
